US: Initial Jobless Claims fell to 334K
FXstreet.com (Edinburgh) - According to the Labour Department, the Americans that filed in their first initial claims for regular state unemployment-insurance benefits fell by 12K last week to a seasonally adjusted 334K in the week ended June 7, below expectations at 345K and coming from 346K (revised) in the previous print.
Continuing claims, which reflect people already receiving benefits, rose by 2K to a seasonally adjusted 2.973 million in the week ended June 1 vs. 2.971 million in the previous week (revised).
